WATCH : Nokas | 2010 | Online Full Movie

This movie will not necessarily disappoint, but probably surprise those expecting a traditional movie with a plot and character progression etc. Nokas has none of that. Instead this is an extremely detailed reenactment of the robbery, based on witness statements, security camera footage and interviews with police officers and even some of the robbers.
To understand why anyone would make a movie like this, you'd probably have to be Norwegian. And what I mean by that is that Norway is a very small country where bank robberies of any kind are very uncommon. Needless to say a robbery of this magnitude resulted in an absurd media circus which literally lasted for years. All the robbers became household names and some even got their own "super villain" nicknames, such as "The Shadow" and "The Master Brain". The general fascination only grew as the leader of the gang, while hiding from the police, supposedly ordered the armed robbery of the Munch Museum in Oslo where two of the world's most famous paintings, Scream and Madonna where stolen in order to force the police to shift focus.

There isn't one boring scene in this movie. This must have been a 'low budget' movie but the result is great. A couple is on their way to spend Christmas with their parents. They decide to stay a night in a motel. When the man unsuccessfully tries to buy a take away meal somewhere at Christmas eve he discovers his wife is missing when he returns to the motel. - It turns out this was all just a prelude to the real movie which starts when we see Beth waking up in 'the clinic' in a bath tub full with ice ( as on the movie poster ). Her baby is no longer with her. We follow Beth in her quest where she is, what happened and most of all: what happened to her baby? - Most horror movies are completely over the top. This one isn't it, unlikely perhaps, what happens to Beth in this movie could happen to a girl out there, who thinks she is safe. It is a horror movie so expect blood and violence but again, very realistic. I rate this movie as a seven which means I don't think this movie will disappoint you in any way.

Okay stuff shirts. Time to unbutton that top button and relax and watch a funny movie. Although not brilliant, this movie does entertain. It offers good comic acting, a silly but amusing story, and manages not to take itself seriously. Martin Lawrence does a great job in drag. The rest of the cast is funny too, especially the actors who play the bad guys. But what is most important is that the movie entertains, is not pretentious, does not come off as being some hokey, pseudo-intellectual, touchy-feely concoction. Mr. Lawrence decided to make a movie that would put a smile on your face. He creates a movie that combines popular features of the comedy-genre - slapstick, goofy lines, site gags - to produce a funny movie. And what's the purpose of going to movie if not to be entertained? There are some who might dismiss this movie as unsophisticated, ill-conceived, and half-baked. Untrue! This is comedy and it's entertaining.

The highlight of this film is Kevin Bacon's accent. He plays 'Jimmy the Brit' just so everyone knows he's supposed to be British (not an Aussie). His accent is a cross between Jason Statham and Dick Van Dyke with a good dollop of Ramsey-esque swearing thrown in.
Djimon Hounsou plays 'Curtie Church' (seriously) a troubled, spiritual mercenary with a conscience (Steven Seagal must have been unavailable). He has little to do in the film apart from shooting, slicing and generally rolling around an ever increasing number of bad guys.
The characters are all stereotypical, the script is lazy ("You're dark, and I don't mean your skin tone...") and the action scenes are bland, boring and forgettable.

 I went to watch 7 Khoon Maaf today. I had been waiting for this movie for quite some time. Based on the short-story by Ruskin Bond's short story "Susanna's Seven Husbands", starring Priyanka Chopra (as Susanna) was enough to get me excited. Susanna, who leaves behind a trail of dead husbands.
Movie was good, not great. But since it is not a clichéd overdone love stories it was fun to watch something different for a change. Before I go and tell you about what I didn't like about the movie, Priyanka Chopa has indeed done an amazing job as Susanna and that it premiered in 61st Berlin International Film Festival, which I think is a big deal.

Guys Tannu weds Mannu is a light hearted Rom-com flick which u can enjoy with Ur family.It has some down moments and some very top standard .The movie is all over nice but not too good.There is nothing fresh but still some scenes can grab Ur attention .The director "Aanand Rai" who directed "Thoda Life Thoda Magic" and "strangers" comes with his new flick.Performances are the top notch part of the movie with its soundtrack,the songs like "Saadi Gali" and "Jugni" are so groovy that gives u a feeling to dance and track like "Yun Hi" is really fantastic and memorable for me,sung by 'Mohit Chouhan'.The Screenplay which is always the backbone of a movie is good but not awesome to grab the audience.Cinematography is worthy to watch.R. Madhvan and Kangana done a great job with this movie and best for me is a Jimmy Shergil,he is in guest appearance nd he is too good.Dialogues are also one of the best part of the movie. The movie is stretched in many parts but still it has some pop up moments,it has great storyline but less messed up climax would have worked wonders for the film.

It will leave you gasping for breath asking, What was the message here, or the point for that matter? This is by no way, means or form comparable to the first S.W.A.T. The acting was horrible even for a B movie, as for the premise, well I don't know what the writer was on. Speaking of which, I recommend taking 10mg of Valium with a glass of strong red wine about half an hour before watching this. Very disappointing even for a straight-to-DVD movie. The first scenario of the movie set the ambiance of the rest of the movie. It was like a roller-coaster just before you get to the peak and you expect so much more, but it just gets slower and more boring as it gets to the end of the ride. If you are one of those people who love to watch paint dry or own an ant farm, you will be intrigued by this morsel of confusion.

I gave this movie an 8/10 simply because it will keep you laughing the majority of the time. Sure the ending is predictable and a few of the background actors deliver lackluster performances but Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher fit very nicely together as the main characters, you could really tell they had fun working together.
I see a lot of other reviews criticizing Portman for "stooping to this level" and I'm not too sure why, maybe they didn't go see it in the right frame of mind...this movie is what it is, a romantic comedy about two friends who decide to take their relationship to the next level without having any of the commitments and "duties" of being an actual couple, that's what the trailers showed it as, that's what the actors described it as, nothing was a surprise...she did a cute, funny romantic comedy, it's not like she dove head first into the adult film industry.

A well acted film that unfortunately offers nothing new once the scene has been set. A third of the way into the film you can pretty much turn off and guess the rest. its a real shame too because there was an element of mystery to begin with which was stripped away far too early leaving only a predictable hour till the finish.

Aside from that the acting is great, the tension is OK, although its not built upon enough, it seemed as if scenes of potentially great tension were cut short just to have action, which, in a horror film, isn't a smart move.

There are a couple of great scenes when the 'horror' came not from the hunter but from the hunted, but overall it never really scares.
